Meet our Head of Data, Abed! Abed is always spreading feel-good energy during the workday to keep us fuelled and motivated...
Hey Abed, introduce yourself: Hey I am Abed, I am looking at data in EON Next :) I have over 20 years experience in data and I ran my own start up before joining EON Next.
What is feel-good energy to you? feel-good = oxytocin :) This hormone is generated when you help someone without asking a counter part ... when you help someone, you fill good. What is the most interesting is that when someone see you helping someone it generates also on this person some oxytocin and that will push him/her to help also someone ... So it could be exponential and it is my feeling in EON Next, we are crazy at helping each others and then give the best to our customers.
Name someone in your circle who embodies feel-good best and why:
Every one around me, if I see them not well, try to help them getting back the smile in the face :) Last time, it was with Claire and also Kasia who was not well. The last time in the office, it was when I saw someone crying, I gave her some chocolates ... it is probably nothing, but any little thing could help :))
What's your top energy saving tip? Sport! Running, in-house exercise and playing chess with the kids - that is a good fun but only when I win the game :))
What's the best bit of feel-good advice you ever got? Keep smiling - it is difficult every day, and we are humans and humans are doing mistake. Also we are so passionate that we are doing long hours and we could be tired. But a smile is very little thing, it relieve the stress and send positive energy to everyone who see it and it is driving a positive atmosphere. No easy every day, sometimes I am not in a good mood but I try to keep that in my mind: keep smiling :)
What gets you out of bed in the morning? Doing even better ! Every day it is another chance to do even better and lot of great new ideas.
What's been your most memorable day at E.ON Next? To be honest, every day :) Every day, it is a chance to help each other and get a new small victory. Love baby steps and after weeks and months, get the time to look behind and be proud of what has been achieved :)
What's your top tip for working well at home? Having my own study space at home and share my time schedule with the family :)
